    Community Gathering Space

We provided overnight seasonal shelter for Cleveland’s unsheltered homeless community last winter and served over 167 unique individuals during the season.

Moving forward we are partnering with Evolve Behavior Health to deliver a holistic, integrated support system for families and individuals in Slavic Village, aimed at ensuring their long-term stability, self-sufficiency, community integration, and well-being, with an enhanced focus on substance use disorder (SUD) services.

  • Axonometric Site Plan affordable, prefabricated, and sustainable homes

    Building Capacity for Change

Shelter the People Cleveland is acquiring and developing vacant lots for the installation of affordable, dignified and sustainable homes with the goal to transition our clients to homeownership within 3 years with the guidance of our support staff.

The homes will be built by men and women with lived homeless experience. Shelter the People Cleveland will train apprentices and hold educational seminars as part of the construction process.

With other neighborhoods in severe need of new housing, we see this as a model for all of Cuyahoga County.

    4th House

In Astrology, the fourth house is known as the House of Home and Family.

4th House is a Level II Recovery Residence and provides transitional housing in a supportive environment for our LGBTQ+ community members who are in early stages of recovery.

A turn-of-the-century 6-bedroom home on Cleveland’s West Side, the property has several fruit trees, a robust library, and is expansive so people can rest and heal in their own personal space while growing independently on their life’s trajectory.
